The Rothschild Police Department is currently accepting applications for a police officer.

Salary:           $25.34 - $33.79 per hour, dependent on qualifications.

Qualifications:

U.S. citizen; Minimum age - 21; Driver license; Good driving record; Good physical condition; Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification; High school diploma; 60 college credits; Associate degree; Qualification for a Rothschild Police Officer must include the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Certification as set by the Wisconsin Training & Standards Board.  You must be certifiable in the State of Wisconsin by 10-06-21; Ability to possess a firearm; No felony convictions; No domestic abuse convictions; Vision correctable to 20/20; Good verbal and written communication skills; React quickly and effectively to stressful situations; Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; Clear and concise speech; Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; Ability to perform essential functions of this position; Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment.

Written exam and physical fitness/agility screening; Oral interview; Psychological profile; Medical examination; Vision examination; Drug screening; Background investigation; Residency required; Must live in Marathon County within one year of employment. Partial lateral transfers may be considered. Department policy prohibits visible tattoos while wearing summer uniform and no tobacco use while on duty time.
